9/04/2008. Salem, W.V. (CLICK FOR BOX SCORE)-- Salem International University Volleyball team faced its second and longest match of the year today. Salem took the first game 25-14, Lost the second game 25-17, Lost the third game 25-12, and lost the longest and closest game 25-23 to decide the match. After getting 14 Kills and only 3 Errors during the first game, Salem couldn't overcome 21 costly errors over the next three games. Led by senior captain setter, Ellie Bliss, she totaled 11 Kills in 19 Total Attempts with 23 assist and 12 digs. Melissa Anger led the attack with 13 Kills in 18 attempts. Sophmore Amy Potts led the defensive attach with 20 digs and Junior Kassidy Nutter had 4 solo blocks and 9 block assists. Salem drops to 0-2 as Ohio Valley goes to 1-4.
