During Alfred Tarquinio’s years at Salem College (1961-1965), he was a four-year letterman and a three-year starter for the football team. In addition, he was President of Varsity S, Treasurer for his Senior Class and appeared on the Dean’s List. He earned his BA from Salem in 1965 and his MA with honors from Carnegie-Mellon in 1983.
Al was the spiritual leader of his football team during three years as a starter. His role as a leader has not diminished over the years;. he is the CEO of the Tarquinio Recruiting Group and a Marshall Township, PA Commissioner.
Al single handedly organized and continues to maintain the Salem Football and Cheerleader Alumni Association with a selflessness that is without comparison. He has dedicated countless hours of hard work and personal resources to the continuation of the Salem University Spirit.
Over the years, Tarquinio has been known as husband, father, grandfather, high school coach, Fortune 500 business executive and business owner, community political activist, community and local school athletic programs coordinator, and director for scholarship fundraising events. He is a worthy addition to the Salem Athletic Hall of Fame.
