Salem Baseball Take one

The Salem Baseball Team was at Home vs. Ohio Valley on Wednesday the 13 th. The Tiger’s came out with the win, beating Ohio Valley 16 to 9. The starting pitcher for the Tiger’s was Micheal Velazquez. He had pitched three innings when Scott Toothman came in to pitch. Scott is a graduate of Liberty High School and is from Clarksburg, WV. The combination of the two gave the Tigers the chance for the win. In the second inning, Josh Demattos came to the plate with three men on and hit a grand slam to put Salem up 4 to 0 in the second. Our other big innings were the 4 th, 5 th and the 6 th. Scott went five, and then Travers Thompson came in and gave up some runs but the Tigers held on to get the win.
